Dr. Ron Place, CISSP
Dr. Place has joined The International Security Consortium and Training Academy (ISACTA) as the Director of Instruction and security instructor. With over thirty five years experience in the fields of education and network security, Ron is a welcome addition to the consulting services ISACTA offers its clients.
For the thirteen years prior to Ron's joining ISCATA, he was the CIO of a large school district, responsible for all the desktop computers, data networks, telephone systems, fire alarm systems, and supported the video surveillance over the network infrastructure.
From 1985 to 1995, Ron taught computer science, programming, and implemented the Local and Wide Area Networks for another school district. In addition, Ron fulfilled many contracts with the Air Force Academy, assisting them with their foreign language Computer Assisted Training program.
From 1970 to 1985, Ron held various positions as a design engineer for the City of Los Angeles, instructor for the University of Northern Colorado, and pastor of several Colorado churches. Ron's first entrance into the world of computing was learning Fortran IV on a CDC6400 in 1967.
Ron holds two Bachelor's Degrees in Civil Engineering and Geology, three Master's Degrees in Geology, Theology and Educational Computing, and a Doctorate in Education.
